The Lighthouse. Bar & Restaurant @ Sands of Luce - A Coastal Culinary Delight

Spent 3 nights at the dunes touring site excellent sized pitches with great views toilets were spotless and showers were warm.Checking in was quick and easy.We were greeted with a warm and friendly smile from Lauren. The park is well kept and great for dog walks .Lighthouse bar and restaurant has a good atmosphere with a good range of food and drinks.We were treated to great entertainment on the Sunday with live music and dancing campers Also thanks to hard working staff behind the bar..all in all great area to stay and visit the surrounding area

Excellent food, freshly cooked and piping hot. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Big drink selection. Dog friendly. Inside and outside seating. Left very full and happy

Having been coming to Sands of Luce Holiday Park for over 10 years, my husband and I can’t find anything negative to say about any of our visits. We have had a number of meals in the Lighthouse Bar & Restaurant and the food has always been good. Bar staff and waitresses have all been welcoming and the bar/table service has been spot on. We often site outside for food when we take our cocker spaniel Gracie with us when the weather is nice enough to do so. Gracie has been in the restaurant with us every time we have a meal and she’s always been on her best behaviour. Staff even make the time to fuss over her. So to conclude, I would highly recommend the Lighthouse for food, drinks, live music and atmosphere.

Been to stay in Sandhead itself a number of times but first time we've popped into the lighthouse. Will not be our last. Firstly they are properly dog friendly so we could sit in and eat. The people there are lovely and the food was yummy. We had a couple of takeaways and ate in twice, once with friends, and we all enjoyed it. Can't believe we have missed this place before but will make sure to visit again when we are up.

We were delayed and arrived late. The kitchen had just closed. Nonetheless the staff were really helpful and went the extra mile to ensure we had a tasty meal. So impressed with the customer service and would definitely recommend the Lighthouse, the staff are a real asset to this camp site.

The menu is limited but has grown a bit more since lock down. I had the day’s special, curry with a beer and my wife had fish and chips. Both were very nice. Would be nice to see the menu expand a bit more as it limits the number of times we would choose to eat at the Lighthouse, we don’t want to eat the same thing at each visit.

Had lunch here, I had the flo burger, we also had kids pizzas and Parmesan chilli fries. One of my favourite places to eat when visiting Dumfries and Galloway.

The food here is excellent with generous portions and good value. The steak and ale pie highly recommended, ten out of ten. Would also say fish and chips are to be recommended! Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, will be returning!
